It's Wednesday. The middle of the week. Hump day. And once again, I'm in a writing rut. What to write about today!!! I was having a browse on trusty ol' Pinterest for some inspiration when I realised that most of the things I was looking at were quotes and phrases that were spurring me on! It was then that inspiration struck and I decided to compile some of my favourites here for your perusal! (I may even make this a weekly series!)
I love to write and I think words have a power greater than most people give them credit for. Think of major world leaders giving a speech to their nations (I'm thinking more Obama here than Michael D!), think of the words people hear when they come back from the brink, or even think about how you feel when someone tells you that you look nice. Words, if delivered correctly have the ability to make us feel a different way than we felt just before we heard them.
So, listed below are some of my absolute favourite quotes of all time. I'm going to try and narrow this down otherwise we'll be here until Christmas - I'll aim for 10. So if you fancy some word-awesomeness, then keep reading! :)

“Oh
yes, the past can hurt. But, the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it”
– Rafiki, The
Lion King
"Why not go out on a limb? That's where the fruit is."
- Mark Twain
- Walt Disney
"Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less"
- C. S. Lewis
"This world is but a canvas for our imagination"
- Henry David Thoreau
"A mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work unless it's open"
- Frank Zappa
"For most of history 'Anonymous' was a woman"
- Virginia Woolf
"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not"
- Kurt Cobain
"When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven't"
- Thomas Edison
- Robin Williams
And just one for the road...
"Oink!"
- Babe, Pig in the City
Let me know if you've enjoyed this type of post. I love quotes and I think they speak volumes, so this could be a weekly feature here on FeatherBright :)
Thanks for Reading and let me know your favourite quotes!
Clare :)
