Weekly Walk-through // Monday 10th August 2015

Hello there friends,

In today's post I want to round-up the week. Things I've been doing and loving, places I've gone, what I've been sinking my teeth into art wise and more. I plan on doing these posts every so often (I won't say weekly as other things might take preference) and I think that they're a good way of sharing new things that I'm loving with you guys (if there are any of you guys out there?) and also a way for you to share some of your favourite things with me!

First up is the Dublin Horse Show at the RDS in Dublin. I attend this event every year and headed there yesterday with my boyfriend to watch my old riding club compete in the Riding Club Team Challenge in the Simmonscourt arena! We were lucky and we managed to get beautiful weather for the day - which is a hell of a lot better than sitting watching showjumping in the rain! The place was absolutely crowded and there was a great atmosphere as usual with thousands attending that day to watch the Grand Prix in the main arena! We had a rather delicious hotdog (although squeezy cheese really shouldn't be a thing) and we spent €17 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) on gourmet sweets - I still haven't recovered from that! If you haven't been before you should check it out next year and you can find all the highlights at dublinhorseshow.com :)

Vincent Van Gogh quote on original watercolor by KatiesCustomArt, $4.00I've gotten back into browsing Pinterest when I'm feeling bored and one of my favourite things to pin are quotes. From when I was around 8 or 9 I used to google quote sites on the internet and then write them all down in a notebook - I'd even divide them up into categories. I've always been a stickler for organisation! Below are a few of my favourite quote edits from Pinterest this week.

Don't take failure, disappointments, and rejections to heart; take them as challenges to overcome, narrow-minded people to prove wrong, and tough times as a test for the great times ahead.

Chaos And The Calm - James Bay. The whole album is amazing. I strongly recommend giving it a listen :)Music-wise I have listened to absolutely NOTHING else besides two different music projects. The first being James Bay's Album 'Chaos and the Calm'. This is one of those albums where every single goddamned song is fantastic. There's no duds. Each song is perfect and his voice is like liquid gold. Top, top, TOP picks are 'Best Fake Smile', 'Move Together', 'Scars' and 'Incomplete'. Smashing album. Please go straight to iTunes and download LOVE.

Lonely Rob - EP, Lonely RobThe second thing that I have been constantly plugging my headphones into is my boyfriends' debut solo EP titled 'Lonely Rob'. This is Rob's solo EP which includes 6 unreal original songs - all penned and performed by himself! The EP was recorded in Rob's music garage :) and still has that authentic vibe to it, but the sound is bloody fantastic. I may be a liiiiiitle bit biased but this is definitely worth checking out! :) I love it - if you get a chance listen to 'My Friends' which will make you feel happy! :) Check out his official facebook page here. 'Lonely Rob' is available to download on iTunes NOW and it's also available on spotify :) Happy Listening!

Aside from this I've really just been writing blog posts and trying to get this blog in tip top shape. I'm still not 100% happy with it but it's getting there!

Any other suggestions or things you're loving this week then let me know in the comments.

Thanks for reading :)

Clare
