August is well under way, and that for me, means one thing; the end of summer is nigh and college is fast approaching. I study zoology in UCD in south county Dublin and I am about to enter my fourth and final year (*GULP*) of my undergrad. I’m slightly apprehensive about the imminent workload; however, for the most part I’m excited to get stuck back into the books!
One of my favourite parts about going back to college is the undeniable need to collect a few new bits for my autumn wardrobe. I’m a slight shopaholic and I have already begun picking up a few wardrobe stables for the coming semester, but here are a few items that I am currently coveting…
The start of a new college year always means that the weather is about to turn colder so I generally opt for a lighter jacket for the first couple of months, and then a heavier winter coat for when the real chill sets in.
This printed lightweight Wisteria blazer from Oasis is perfect for the first few weeks back to college. It's a statement piece definitely, but I think it would be very cute teamed with indigo skinnies and my new oxblood loafers. The tailoring on this blazer makes it extremely flattering while the delicate print gives it chic bonus points. At €88 euro, it's a bit on the pricey side, but for the amount of wear I know that I would get out of it, it doesn't seem too unreasonable. Definitely #1 on my list!
For the colder winter months I have my eyes (and heart) set on this hooded parka from Zara. For just under €80 I think the price is excellent without compromising on style - I love it! And, it looks cosy as hell! ☺
I already got my new oxblood loafers (from TESCO would you believe?) and they are the comfiest pair of flats that I've had in a long time. Aside from flats I always feel the need to have a new pair of boots for the coming year and these leather ankle boots from Pull&Bear have me written all over them. The tassles MAKE them what they are! ♥♥♥
A good pair of jeans is something that I'm unable to live without and Topshop jeans are the best, in my opinion. I wear jeans almost everyday. I think they're so versatile and indigo is my colour of choice. I fell in love with these Leigh jeans and I know they're amazing because I already have them in grey - amazing fit and length!
At the minute I'm obsessed with boxy tops. I think they're so classy and flattering and I've fallen in lust with this top from New Look.
My back-to-college wardrobe would not be complete without a statement bag. This structured tote from River Island - I just can't. There are no words. Be mine now.
Believe me when I say that there are NUMEROUS other items that I would like to have in my wardrobe, this is but a mere selection!
Let me know what you think and comment below about items that you're coveting lately! ☺
Peace Out,
Clare
